I paid $600 for an analysis on Codementor, and they delivered a late, incomplete mess that wasted weeks of my time and derailed my project. The work was overdue, with them barely starting until the last minute, cobbling together a one-day effort for $600. Their delays cost me weeks of progress. Their two-page output skipped nearly half my 45-page specs. Core features and integrations were vague or missing entirely, showing zero regard for what I needed. This is after he convinced me to pay for this service which was NOT needed. The $600 deliverable was practically worthless, and their broader quotes—$30K-$80K for a small project—were 3-4 times my $9,600-$12,900 estimates. It’s blatant price gouging. They demanded $600 upfront, refusing to review specs without payment—something developers usually do free. It was a trick to grab cash before delivering garbage. The result was too incomplete to use, forcing me to start over. They claimed it was developer-ready, but it was trash. I disputed the $600 and got refunded, but the weeks wasted were infuriating. This developer overcharges 3-4 times the norm, tries to price gouge, delivers late, and lures you with fees for free services.
