At Rapid Logistics Group, I worked on development of a public Shopify application designed to strengthen logistics operations and simplify e-commerce integrations. My work focused on building reliable, maintainable, and scalable features that directly improved order and fulfillment workflows for merchants. By bridging Shopify stores with internal logistics systems, the application reduced manual processes, minimized errors, and accelerated the movement of goods through the supply chain. The application was built on Ruby on Rails with PostgreSQL, providing a strong technical foundation for performance and scalability. I integrated it with Shopify’s GraphQL APIs to synchronize products, orders, and fulfillment data, ensuring that merchants and logistics teams always worked with accurate, up-to-date information. To extend the platform’s reach, I also developed interfaces for seamless and secure data exchange with Rapid Logistics Group’s internal systems, creating a unified flow of information across platforms. Beyond the technical implementation, I emphasized long-term maintainability by applying best practices in database design, background job processing, and automated testing. This not only ensured a stable production environment but also made it easier to extend and adapt the application as business needs evolved. The result was a production-ready Shopify app that helped merchants automate fulfillment processes, improve delivery accuracy, and enhance customer satisfaction, while enabling Rapid Logistics Group to scale its logistics services more efficiently.
