Ravi Teja Gullapalli

I have been working on Python for developing various applications and for analysing Big Data. I have used Python for the purposes of Developing Applications, Machine Learning and Data Analysis. Overall, I had been using Python for 5 years and as a professional for the past 1.5 years.

I have been working on various schema based data bases for the past 4 years, and on big databases for the past 1.5 years on a professional front. Have obtained in depth understanding of various data processing tools and functions and still striving to develop my acumen to optimally write codes and synthesis various analysis and process data. Have been working on Hive systems on a professional front for the past year or so, on Teradata for the past 2 years. During my stint at Wipro, I have developed applications to migrate data from one big data environment to another (i.e. bi-directional movement of data from Teradata/Hive/Aster/mongoDB to Teradata/Hive/Aster/mongoDB) in Java using REST based calls.

I have been working on Hive for various data processing things using SQL based Hive Queries. Have gained decent enough knowledge to do any kind of data processing and transformation in Hive using various functions, OLAP functions inside Hive environment optimally.

I've developed website for my college festival which had over 15,000 registrations and more than 1 million hits per month which was used for the registration of participants, setting up marketing avenues for our sponsors and various online games and interactive portals. Our team has been adjudged as a Global Finalist and 2nd in India in Google Online Marketing Challenege, 2015 for which I have developed website incorporating practices to feature in Top Searched Websites to drive organic traffic, with minimal bounce rate. Had been declared as Global Finalist(for Under-15 age category) in ThinkQuest Web Designing, where I had been responsible for the development of content and developing the website, when I was in my 9th grade (2009).

I have used OOP concepts for competitive programming and during my internship stint at Wipro.
