I've been making websites, apps, games, art, for 14 years. I've taught in-person courses about multiplayer game development, and helped many mentees learn to code and use technologies from 0. I'm patient, seek to understand what's blocking you, and genuinely want to help you grow. Let's grow and enjoy this blip of time together! :)

I'm a freelancing game developer with specializations in both Unity3D/C# and HTML5/JS/WebGL and a master's degree in International Media and Computing. I have developed projects in Unity3D for desktop, Android, iOS and WebGL, worked on VR projects, created web-based games and applications in JavaScript, organized workshops on game development for kids and lectured a Unity3D beginner's course at the HTW Berlin. My passion for game development shines through while I'm off the job too: I co-founded the monthly Berlin Mini Game Jam which I co-organize for over 8 years now and I create a lot of game prototypes and smaller games in my free time. Years of experience make me very fast at rapidly sketching out game ideas into prototypes. My curiosity and my eagerness to learn new things ensure that I'm staying up to date with recent developments and technologies. I love experimenting, be it with gameplay or with technology. I've worked with Augmented and Virtual Reality, alternative input methods (e.g. huge multitouch tables with object recognition, Microsoft Kinect, Leap Motion, voice-controlled games) and I've built alternative controllers and game installations myself. I like making generative art and I am also pretty interested in AI, electronics and the maker movement in general. Portfolio: http://portfolio.dragonlab.de

I'm a full-stack developer who specialises in creating delightful, high-performance web applications with React and Node.js. I have 5 years experience building apps, games and tools for the web, working with a wide range of technologies. I've been teaching & facilitating as long as I've been coding. I've run courses on web programming for beginners, taught business executives to build their own IoT devices, and introduced 7-year-olds to game design. As well as teaching and programming, I've also run my own startup - we were built a game that teaches children how to code. I know exactly how important it is to test ideas, rapidly iterate, prototype to build a truly delightful piece of software.

I'm a very passionate Web Developer with expertise on the Front-end. I have experience in many different programming languages and environments and experience teach others how to program in languages such as JavaScript, CSS and HTML. I have mentored students before, whom have gone off and entered the world of developers successfully. I've been fortunate enough in my development career to code for some high profile clients such as Disney, Black & Decker and Panasonic. I've created web stores, websites and web applications but I enjoy making HTML5 games the most. I also love music and sometimes daydream about having a residency spot in "Amnesia" in Ibiza. Aside from coding, you can find me either digging for music, hanging out with my dogs or playing video games.

“Lucas did an amazing job helping me with my problem. I got completely turned around debugging the issue for two days and I thought I tried everything. In the end, we tried the same everything, but more calmly, and there it was, problem identified. I can now move on to fixing it. But in the meantime, I also want to mention that it was great pleasure chatting with Lucas. His English is perfect, his technical knowledge is broad, his manner is pleasant, and he didn't talk down to me. I almost hope I'll have another problem to ask him about...“

“I had a fantastic session with Erum focused on understanding the internals of the Spark UI. She explained complex concepts like stages, tasks, and shuffles in a very clear and visual manner. What really stood out was how she connected the theory with real Spark execution graphs and showed me how to interpret performance metrics effectively. Erum also guided me through practical optimization techniques—like how to reduce shuffle overhead, how Spark breaks jobs into stages, and how to use partitioning intelligently. Highly recommended for anyone needing deep, hands-on Spark guidance“

“I've been learning with Lucas for over a month now, and I can confidently say he's both an incredible person and a top-tier DevOps instructor. From the very first session, we dove into a complex, containerized environment involving legacy on-premise integration and Lucas guided me through it with clarity and confidence. What sets him apart is not just his deep technical knowledge, but his ability to identify exactly where your understanding breaks down and fix it on the spot. He’s helped me build a solid programming foundation, structure a learning roadmap, and bridge the gap between my CISSP background and my new direction in DevSecOps. His mentorship has been instrumental in my career transition. I genuinely look forward to every session not just for the learning, but because working with Lucas is simply inspiring.“

“Ryan was so quick to respond, very helpful and friendly. We were given many options to improve what we already had and then Ryan guided us through the best options for our timeline. The work together was a combination of tasks I could execute on my own time, and direct edits through the code window that we could insert immediately. 100% satisfied!!!“
