I work with Node, React, React Native, Express, KOA, Serverless, and all things Javascript. My focus is on front-end, mobile, and user experience development. My background came from C# MVC plus many other paths over the last 20 something years. You may recognize my name from my previous speaking arrangements with Microsoft or from Larry Roof's books (WROX). I was awarded the "Best of Miercomm" award for my design and implementation of NEC's unified communication client, and all those loyalty kiosks in GameStop stores were designed and written by me :) You can find me hanging out on my open source projects: Defunctr, and Buccaneer. I am also a contributing member to Keystone, React Native, and a few others. I am launching my live broadcast later in 2020 where we will discuss and showcase things react.

It's been 13 years since I wrote my first hello-world program in QBASIC. Today, I work with Javascript, Python and Java(Android). I worked as lead software engineer on internal projects at Andela. I am passionate about building cutting edge apps, having worked on a number of software projects for the web, desktop and mobile platform. Notable among them is the Mobile Examiner (a prize winning mobile app on the Samsung Developer's Challenge, 2010). A night owl scheming about how to make the world a better place. Besides work, I blog, teach and practice new chords on my guitar or piano. Here's one of my most notable write-ups: https://www.codementor.io/mattadesanya/a-gentler-introduction-to-programming-btcc1gllh

“I recommend Lucas for his exceptional guidance in DevOps integrations and pipeline automation. He helped me debug complex issues and develop a deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI automation, and product integration all within a challenging on-premise legacy environment using BCM, a local container registry, and artifact management with mirroring. Lucas is a true expert who didn’t just solve problems for me but taught me how to approach and solve them myself. His support and deep knowledge made all the difference. It was a pleasure learning from him.“

“I had an amazing experience learning Power BI with Rafael as my mentor. He is superb—extremely knowledgeable, clear in his teaching, very professional, and genuinely passionate about helping others learn. He took the time to explain every concept in detail and ensured I was confident before moving forward. I highly recommend Rafael to anyone looking to upskill in Power BI. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ He solved my doubt, so genuinely and professionally. I am his fan, not only for the Power Bi, but also for his personality. Note:- Its an AI written review but 100% genuine review from Chetan Gupta (India). Lots of Love, Thank you. You made my day“

“Intro call for a personal project of mine went very well. It is evident he is a professional, answered my questions clearly and gave good advice and was easy to talk to. I talk in lots of circles and tangents but he was able to link back to previous points and follow and expand the picture. I would recommend.“

“Lucas did an amazing job helping me with my problem. I got completely turned around debugging the issue for two days and I thought I tried everything. In the end, we tried the same everything, but more calmly, and there it was, problem identified. I can now move on to fixing it. But in the meantime, I also want to mention that it was great pleasure chatting with Lucas. His English is perfect, his technical knowledge is broad, his manner is pleasant, and he didn't talk down to me. I almost hope I'll have another problem to ask him about...“
